Wedding Party Gifts That Are Sure To Please

Wedding Party Gifts

Give wedding party gifts to the members of your wedding party to show your appreciation

Wedding party gifts are a way of saying “thank you for being part of my special day”.  And while that’s a great idea and a noble thing to do, who do you buy gifts for. And what do you buy those people. It is customary to buy a gift for each member of the wedding party. This includes the best man, the maid or matron of honor, each groomsman and each bridesmaid. If you have a flower girl and/or a ring bearer, include them too.

You can get each bridesmaid and each groomsman the same gift. You will probably want to get the best man and maid of honor something different, and perhaps a little more intricate or expensivce. Keep in mind that wedding party gifts should be included in your overall wedding budget and that the more people you have in the wedding party, the more money you should set aside for gifts.

What do you get your best man and your maid of honor? Check out the links below to get some great ideas. Additional wedding party gift ideas, including children, can be found at weddingtreasurechest.com.

Wedding Guests Books… traditional and untraditional

Wednesday, October 5th, 2011
traditional guest book
A beautifully traditional wedding guest book adorned with a pair of heart crystals dangling from a bow

The wedding guest book was once a necessity.  In days of old, everyone who attended a wedding was considered a witness and was required to sign the marriage document.  Today, even though the legal requirements for witnesses has changed, the concept of a wedding guest book remains as a wonderful remembrance for the wedding couple.  Having a guest book at your wedding today may not be a necessity, but it is sure to bring the happy couple many memories for years to come.

At Wedding Treasure Chest we offer a wide variety of wedding guest books and wedding pen sets.  From the more traditional  Abundant Love Guest Book pictured above or a white with silver/gold combination like our Filigree Guest Book

"Guests" embossed in either silver or gold filigree in this simple yet classic wedding guest book

… to our more contemporary guests books such as the Sweet Love Guest Book which features brown and pink satin accented with a pearl and rhinestone closure…

Any guest book you choose should represent the atmosphere of your wedding and the essence of the couple.  Of course, impressing your guests is always a thought… and what better way to impress your guests than with the Wedding Guest Book!  We also offer a variety of customizable guest books such as our Splash of Color Guest Book  and our Twice the Pleasure Guest Book.

For some really out-of-the-box guest book ideas, check out Girly Wedding’s recent post on creative guest book ideas.  If you’re planning a winter wedding, this make your own ornament idea is a real winner!

Weddings with a touch of ancestry really show the roots of the couple they are celebrating.

Wedding Pictures Are Standard Fare But Marriage Pictures Create Memories

Sunday, September 25th, 2011
Marriage pictures

Taking pictures allows you to catch all the special moments throughout your marriage

They say that pictures are worth a thousand words. There is valuable meaning behind this statement. Pictures are our way of remembering people that have been a part of our lives at one time or another and past events we’ve hosted or attended. Pictures allow us to remember things we might otherwise forget as time goes on. And with today’s technology, most of us can capture those special moments easily without even having an actual camera present.

Where weddings are concerned, of course pictures are essential for many reasons. But equally important, if not more important are the pictures taken after the wedding. In order to capture precious moments or classic events, we should take pictures. By taking pictures of the marriage, so to speak, we are creating a time line of a very special relationship. We want to recall special moments such as our first anniversary, where we might relight our wedding candle, and other milestone anniversaries. Vacations and other adventures we take as a couple will reveal and later remind us of some of our personality traits, interests and dreams.

They say that pictures are worth a thousand words. When we get old, we may not remember everything that’s happened to us during the course of our lives. By writing on pictures, we can capture our favorite moments, remember why we fell in love and got married and relive the magical moments of our marriage. The link below demonstrates my point exactly. Check it out!

Whether you're taking the picture or posing for it, creating lasting memories of your marriage is important
